Government consults on whether our animal welfare laws should allow slaughter without stunning the bird or animal first.

Humanism is the ethos by which many of us live: it is not a religious sect but it does define who we are, and our belief that the humans do not have to have a religious faith in order to be compassionate, sympathetic and empathetic-and good.

Humanists UK are clear; animal welfare states that an animal killed for meat in the UK should be stunned before being killed.
