The issue is this…
From October 1st, Hampshire Tories decided to charge householders to recycle DIY waste to recover some costs to keep the recycling centre budget down.
BUT the current laws say that householders can’t be charged to take waste to recycling centres.
So- now the local Conservatives may well be in breach of the law of the land…
If you have been charged to take your washbasin or bucket of tiles to the recycling centre- it may well be worth asking for your money back because, although it is ok to charge businesses, it is illegal to charge householders!
