Campaign for better transport review

The Campaign for Better Transport undertook a major study to inform the Government’s review of rail travel.

Interesting that the results show that nearly half the public feel that rail should offer a direct alternative to car travel, but more than half say the fares are too expensive.

I’ll be quoting from this report at Hampshire and Winchester Councils- we should be using the findings to keep the pressure on Government to develop new routes, e.g. to Heathrow etc to keep car travel down, and offer alternatives to internal flights too.
