UK household dual fuel – i.e. electricity and gas – bills in 2013 are estimated to be about £1,267, based on average levels of energy consumption
Green energy measures make up 9% of that cost.*
But, as bills are going ever higher, CEO’s continue to earn vast sums, and shareholders take good profits. A recent Freedom of Information request has revealed that the 9% isn’t being spent on the things it should. Ed Davey has said that the companies must respect their customers-not treat them as ‘cash cows’ and remember why the Energy companies are there-and who pays their wages.
