Pharmacies across the UK are at risk- and they are part of the UK armoury to help us all to keep healthy. 

We use community pharmacies not just for prescriptions but to seek advice, buy non prescription medicines, creams, get vaccinated, and in the case of seven frequently suffered illnesses, we can be treated by the pharmacist, not even having to go to the doctor. 

But the financial pressure on pharmacy businesses has led to closures across the district. There are rural pharmacies at Doctors’ Surgeries but these cannot offer the wide range of services that Community pharmacies offer on our high streets. HCC is required to carry out an assessment of the availability of pharmacies every few years, and this is your chance to have your say.
