Today’s manifesto for Parliament does nothing to address the rising costs of housing, heating, fuel to get to work, food and much more. The PM could have reduced VAT, and placed the burden of additional National insurance on higher wage earners. But the Conservatives won’t do that. These additional costs are falling on those who can least afford them.
