Top Field Action Group’s bid for a village green rejected : so what happens next?

by Jackie Porter on 1 April, 2017

This follows months of preparation and process: The Public Enquiry took place in the Autumn of 2016.

The TFAG’s application for a village green on Top Field off Hookpit Farm Lane in Kings Worthy was rejected by the Inspector, and so the County Council followed her advice and refused the application.

So what happens next? The application for footpaths across the land (started in the 90’s but apparently completed in 2005) is still pending. The HCC Regulatory Committee agreed that this should be processed within the next three months to confirm the paths across the area-and ensure public access.

Meanwhile, local councillors have been invited to a meeting with Planning officers- which will take place on the 5th April. I hope to report back after that.
