With changes underway to introduce more High Street names at the Fryern Arcade, shoppers will in theoory, have more choice- but the Lib Dem team are asking how the shopping experience could be better? And what effect do the big names have on the smaller cafes and independent shops?
Alan Broadhurst says that this is a good time for the toilets to be re-opened here. He explained that customers ‘in need’ have to use the toilets in Waitrose or the cafe- and that hardly seems fair on them.

Some shop owners attract customers with interesting displays, but with the changes in position, this is difficult for some of the shopfronts. Jackie, and Borough Councillors Pam, Haulwen and Alan have been discussing with shoppers how the Arcade can serve them better.
